We are super excited to be announcing that we will be sponsoring a new prize in the Central Northland Science Fair, starting this year!
There will be prizes for the project that best incorporates te ao Māori into it. There are three age brackets for the prize: Years 7 & 8, Years 9, 10, & 11, and Years 12 & 13.
The prize will be a three day trip for you and an adult to join an R-CET scientist on a trip from Whāngarei to Hokianga to visit Manea- Footprints of Kupe. As we make our way northeast, we will stop along the way to view the sights and discuss the landscape. (It's a real geology field trip!) On the way back, we will slowly make our way back a different way. Transportation, accommodation, and entry are all included!
There are, of course, the COVID caveats we have all become sadly too familiar, with, but any prize substitutions will be worked out at the time.
